Why do you charge a membership fee?

These are not MIDI files found scattered about the internet. We have created them ourselves...and quite frankly, we deserve to be compensated for our work. However, the real issue is that we cannot legally just give them away. Although we own the rights to our works, we do not own the rights to the underlying music, therefore these owners also deserve to be compensated. And that is not out of generousity, it is the law. To make everyone happy, we have created a membership system where you pay a nominal fee for access, we make our profit, and the balance goes to the intellectual property rights holders. Most internet MIDI sites are operating illegally and more and more get shut down each day. We also believe the quality of our work is signifantly higher than what you would find on a totally free web site or newsgroup.
The membership option gives us the opportunity to mass market our works to a larger audience giving us greater exposure. We reserve the right to remove the membership option in the future.
